At the Congregational parsonage last Wednesday Miss Clara E Bowman of this place became the bride of Howard Sullivan of Davenport, Rev. Lewis Thoyer officiating. The bride is the second eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bowman and grew to young womanhood here, graduating from the public school in 1929. For the past year she has been employed by the Kresge Store of Davenport. The groom is the second eldest son of Oliver Sampson of Davenport and is employed at the Davenport Oil Supply Co. The couple left for a motor trip to visit relatives at Lake City and Minneapolis, Minn. They will be at home in Davenport. The wedding date was also the bride's and her mother's birthday.
