Marting - Bierbaum marriage - 1931

Miss Gretchen Bierbaum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Bierbaum of McGregor became the bride of Vincent F. Marting, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Marting of Garnavillo, Sept. 2nd, in St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo, Rev. M. J. Harder officiating. Marie Bierbaum, sister of the bride, and the groom's brother were the attendants. The bride graduated from Elkader high school with the class of 1927, and later finished a course in the Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines. The groom is one of Clayton county's prominent farmers, which occupation they will follow on the groom's farm near St. Olaf after Mar. first, next year. Until that time the newly wedded couple will live with the groom's parents near Garnavillo.
