Stanmeyer - Eberhart marriage - 1930

The wedding of Cecelia Eberhart and Alfred E. Stanmeyer of Chicago took place Tuesday at St. Joseph's church, Elkader. Rev. Father J. P. Taken officiated. Miss Theresa Eberhart, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Alphonse A. Kaspari, cousin of the groom, was best man.
Miss Eberhart attended Clarke College, Dubuque, in 1919 and 1920. The following year she continued her study of music and graduated from the Schroeder Conservatory. Following her graduation she was violinist with the original Vioni Duo for two years. She then studied dancing under Zita Plamondin Ridgen and this work and her violin training took her on the vaudeville stage. She has had many featured spots in many vaudeville theatres. She has worked in pictures for Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer.

Mr. Stanmeyer is the eldest son of a prominent Chicago family, an alumnus of the Univ. of Notre Dame and a graduate of Loyola Univ. of Chicago. He is in the First Mortgage investment business with his father, in Chicago.

The couple will live in Chicago.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stanmeyer, Miss Geraldine Stanmeyer, Richard Stanmeyer, Mrs. William Taylor, Miss F. B. Stanmeyer and Alphonse A. Kaspari of Chicago.
