Mathews - Oelke marriage - 1920

At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Oelke, Wed., Dec. 22, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Thelma A., to Mr. Leigh M. Mathews. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Bird of Epworth. Mrs. Mathews is a graduate of Elkader High School class of 1917 and has attended the State University of Iowa. For the past year and a half she has been teaching in the Luana consolidated schools. Mr. Mathews is one of Farmersburg's promising young business men, being a partner with his father in the Mathews Garage. After Jan. 15, they will be at home in their new home in Farmersburg.
