Allen - Temple marriage - 1920

Last evening, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Smock at North McGregor Rev. Crumb of McGregor united in marriage Miss Mittie Temple and Mr. Wm. G. Allen. The bride is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Smock and lived with them while residents of Elkader. While here she attended the local High School and graduated in the class of 1916. She attended teachers college at Cedar Rapids and has taught school, recently at McGregor. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Allen of this city and was also a graduate of the local High School class of 1916. During the war he saw service overseas in the aviation division, and since his return has been employed as machinist in Allen Bros. garage. They will be at home in Elkader.
