Tuesday, June 15th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Seward, of Marengo, Ill., occurred the marriage of their daughter, Marie Louise, to Mr. David G. Carpenter, of this city. They were unattended, the ceremony performed by Dr. R. Emory Buckley, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of Marengo. Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter left immediately after the ceremony for Elkader. Mr. Carpenter has been a resident of Elkader for quite a few years of his life and for the past three years has been an employee of the REGISTER AND ARGUS. Mrs. Carpenter has been principal of the Elkader High School for a number of years. They will be "at home" shortly in the residence recently purchased on the East Side.
Register and Argus, 17 June 1915.
