Byrnes - Berens marriage - 1915

Tuesday a pretty wedding occurred at St. Paul's Catholic church, when Miss Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Berens, of South Creek, became the bride of James J. Byrnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Byrnes, of Elkader, Clayton County, Iowa. Rev. Father Moore officiated. The bride was assisted by her sister, Miss Tillie. Mr. Emmett Thyne, of Elkader, was best man. The new couple will be at home after Feb. 1st on the groom's farm near Edgewood, Iowa. - The Journal and Leader, Ponca, Neb.
