At the home of the bride's parents, Mederville, on Sunday, Dec. 6th, 1885, occurred the marriage of Mr. John Kahrs, of Communia, to Miss Mary J. Albrecht, of Mederville. Justice F. W. Dennert, of Elkader, tied the knot. Their future home is Communia.

Elkader Register, 10 Dec. 1885.
