Clark - Smith marriage - 1885

There was a very quiet wedding at the home of J. E. Smith, Esq., on Saturday evening last, at 5 p.m., being the marriage of his daughter, Laura A., to Mr. A. O. Clark. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. G. Whitford. Mr. Clark was at one time principal of our school, and now is teaching the graded school at Preston, Jackson County, to which place the new couple will shortly go. The bride has been a teacher in Sunday School for the past two years.
