There were two weddings consummated during the holidays which excited considerable attention: also that of Mr. Chris. Schumacher, son of Henry Schumacher, our jolly brewer, to Rosina Thoma, second daughter of the late Wm. Thoma. On the last day of the year the young couple went to Wisconsin, where the knot was tied. and they returned in time to join the festivities of the evening at Turner Hall, and partake of a wedding supper at the residence of the groom's father.
