Davis - Lowe marriage - 1898

At Volga City on Wednesday, occcurred the wedding of Arthur W. Davis, of Cedar Rapids, and Miss Vesta I. Lowe. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Shafer, assisted by Rev. Mr. McClusky, at the residence of the bride's father. The bride is the daughter of Postmaster John Lowe. The groom is a son of Gen. and Mrs. W. L. Davis, of Cedar Rapids, and at present is employed as night register clerk in the post office of that city. The couple will visit relatives at Dubuque, and then return to Cedar Rapids Saturday.
