Bierbaum - Fruechtenicht marriage - 1898

Mr. J. F. Bierbaum and Mrs. L. Fruechtenicht stole away from their friends at this place Thursday, and were quietly married at Elkader, Rev. Fisk performing the ceremony. On Tuesday they removed their belongings to Monona, where they will make their home.

MARRIED - At Elkader on Thursday March 3d, 1898, by Rev. F. L. Fisk, at his home, John F. Bierbaum and Lonine Seitzberg, both of Garnavillo.

Note: The 1900 U.S. census enumerates Frederick & Louine Bierbaum, married 2 yrs.

Living with them is his daughter-in-law, Anna Fruechtenicht, age 20, single.

Lunine is shown to have had 4 children, with 3 living

According to her memorial on F-A-G, she had a previous marriage to Herman Fruechtenicht. Von Seitzberg was her maiden name. Her gravestone in Linwood cemetery, Dubuque is engraved:
