Tuesday, Dec. 1st, 1896, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Paul, of Elkader, occurred the marriage of their daughter Anna E. to Gustave Henry Wilke, Rev. Franklin L. Fisk officiating. Will Becker was groomsman and Miss Ella Wilke, sister of the groom, bridesmaid. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wilke, and has for several years held a responsible position in the store of Messrs. Wilke & Gossmann. The bride is known to us as an expert telegraph operator and splendid musician. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. C. Gossmann, of Communia, grandparents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Ehrlich and Miss Josie Ehrlich, of Elgin, relatives of the bride.
Elkader Register, Fri., 04 Dec. 1896.
