Sterns - Preston marriage - 1896

At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Preston, Tuesday, June 30, occurred the marriage of their eldest daughter Mary Elizabeth to Willis Leroy Sterns. Rev. F. I. Stevens officiated. For the past few years the bride has been the right hand of her father in his extensive law, insurance and real estate business. The groom is the only son of Dr. and Mrs. C. H. Sterns, of Owatonna, Minn., formerly of Elkader. He is a graduate of Minnesota University and of Rush Medical College, of Chicago, and is a practicing physician at Mason City, Iowa. The couple departed on the train for their home in Mason City.
