Schmidt - Beer marriage - 1895

At the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ. Beer, in Elkader, Wednesday, Jan. 2d, occurred the marriage of Robt. F. Schmidt and Miss Ella Beer. About 100 guests were present. Rev. Father Seifert officiated. Miss Amelia Beer and Henry Schmidt, sister and brother of the bride and groom, acted as bridesmaid and best man. The groom is one of the firm of Schmidt Bros. & Co., owners of the Elkader mill, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Schmidt.
