Barthell - Moyer marriage - 1894

At the Moyer residence, at noon today, occurred the marriage of Mr. A. L. Barthell and Miss Kate Moyer, Rev. R. C. Lusk officiating. Mr. Barthel has for the past year been engaged as grammar department teacher of the Elkader school. The bride is an Elkader girl, for some time one of Clayton County's brightest teachers and is in charge of the primary department of the Elkader school. We extend hearty congratulations.

(Note: Both spellings of the groom's surname were used in the article.)
