Scherf - Thoma marriage - 1923

On Tuesday afternoon, at St. Paul's Church, was solemnized the marriage of Miss Minerva Thoma and Mr. John Scherf, Rev. K. Wm. Braun officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Thoma were the witnesses. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Chris Thoma, and graduated from Garnavillo High School, since which she has assisted her parents in business. The groom is the son of Mr. John Scherf, and for a number of years has been engaged in the automobile business here. They will be at home after Aug. 15 in the home recently purchased by the groom.
