Last Saturday, June 22nd, at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ella Lamm, occurred the marriage of Mae Appelman Gifford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Gifford, to Mr. Ernest Roy Smith of St. Paul, Rev. Hull of the First Congregational church officiating. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Elliot J. Gifford, of St. Paul. This is the culmination of a friendship which began at MacAllister College, St. Paul, which both bride and groom attended. The new young couple will spend their honeymoon at Mr. Smith's parent's summer home at White Bear lake near St. Paul, Duluth and many other places, after which they leave for Belgrade, Mont., where they will live until November, at which time they will return to St. Paul to live. Mr. Smith is a civil engineer, at present employed by the government.
