Block - Alitz marriage - 1918

BLOCK, ALITZ

Mr. Vern Martin Block and Miss Pauline Alitz were united in marriage by Rev. Franke at the Evangelical parsonage on Wednesday evening, Feb. 6th. Lee Grannis, of South Dakota, and Alvina Steen, of Elkader, were the attendants. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Alitz. She was born and raised in Elkader, a graduate from our high school, and is well and favorably known in our community. The groom is a prosperous farmer near Sumner, Iowa, where the young couple will go to housekeeping in the near future. Congratulations.
