Marting - Taake marriage - 1934

A very simple wedding was solemnized at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo on Friday afternoon, Sept. 21, at two o'clock, when Miss Carrie M. Taake, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Taake of Guttenberg, became the bride of Merrill L. Marting, youngest son of of Mr. and Mrs. Christ J. Marting of Garnavillo. The Rev. M. J. Harder officiated. The attendants were Miss Irene Kurth and LeRoy Taake, brother of the bride. The new couple will take a short trip to Wisconsin and Chicago, after which they will be at home on the farm of the groom's father, near Garnavillo.
