Miller - Bente marriage - 1905

Last Tuesday, Nov. 21st, Miss Ida Bente was given in marriage to John J. Miller, of Chicago. at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bente, near Communia. The marriage service was conducted by Rev. Baxter, of Elkader. Mike Bente, brother of the bride, was best man. Miss Augusta Hildebrandt, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The bride and groom left Wednesday for Chicago, where they will make their home. Those present from a distance were: R. D. Jones and wife and son and W. C. Miller and wife and son, all of Chicago; Miss Katie Bente and Henry Miller, of Des Moines; and Mrs. A. D. Altschul, of Judyville, Ind.
