Miss Ellen Humphrey, daughter of Mrs. L. Humphrey, of this place, and Mr. James V. Ryan, of Mt. Vernon, S.D., were united in marriage Thursday, the 7th of January, 1904, at St. Patrick's church. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Hogan. The groom is engaged in farming near Mt. Vernon, S.D., where they will reside.
