From the Daily State Journal of Lincoln, Neb., we learn of the marriage of two gentlemen well known in Clayton County, Mr. Fred Schmidt and George Hagensick, who were married on Thursday evening last to Misses Mary and Etta Hasse, of Lincoln. Mr. Schmidt is a brother of the Schmidt Brothers, brewers of this place, and Mr. Hagensick is a son of J. M. Hagensick, of Ceres, and is well known throughout the county as a business man and school teacher. He is at present chief clerk in the store of Mr. Schmidt, who is one of the prominent merchants of that city. The young gentlemen have many friends in this county who will join with the REGISTER in wishing them and their brides much happiness and prosperity. The presents were numerous and valuable.

Elkader Register, Thur., 03 July 1879.
