On Thursday, Sept. 15, at the bride's parents near Cresco, Iowa, occurred the marriage of Andrew J. Walter, one of Garnavillo's popular sons, to Miss Maggie Ficken, of Cresco. Mr. Walter, or "Andy", as he is known in Garnavillo, is a man whose characteristics will make him a model husband. The bride is well known here, her former home, and possesses the accomplishments and the rare tact of that type of womanhood which makes the happy home. Andrew is an employee in the Farmers' Creamery at this place, and the young couple will make their future home in our midst.
