GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Huebner, Sr., was held at their home north of town, near St. Sebald, sunday, August 7th, 1904.

For half a centruy this worthy couple have lived together in the holy bonds of matrimony, and they have been privileged to behold that which so few people have the opportunity of seeing - their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

A large number of the relatives and friends of this couple gathered to help make the event more memorable, for a golden wedding is so rare an occasion that when one does come it is worthy of being [illegible word], not only by the parties most intrested, but by a large circle of acquaintances.

The day was very pleasantly spent. A bountiful dinner was served that was greatly enjoyed by all. And it was late when the party broke up, and everyone went home wishing the host and hostess many happy returns of the day.

Mr. John Huebner was born in Ober Franklin, Germany in 1820.

Miss Miller was born in Under Franklin, Kleinkagen, Germany, in 1822.

They were married in Germany in 1854 and they came to this country that same year. For two years they lived in Chicago. In 1858 they came to St. Sebald where they have resided ever since. Four children were born to them. Fred, the oldest one, died September 13, 1888. The remaining children were present. They are:
