The home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Doeppke was the scene of a happy home wedding Tuesday, Nov. 5, when Joseph Russell, of Decorah, and Miss Lula Staub, of Elkader, were the contracting parties. Viola Doeppke was flower girl and Otto Doeppke was ring bearer. Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn, pastor of the Elkader Congregational church, performed the ceremony.
