Friends received cards Thursday announcing the marriage of Miss Gracia Johnston, of Hopkinton, to Earl A. Wimmer, of this place, which occurred Saturday evening at the home of the bride's parents. Dr. Walter Barlow, of Dubuque, officiated. They were attended by Mrs. Lyal Whittenbaugh and William Johnston, brother of the bride. The wedding march was played by Miss Clemmin Johnston, cousin of the bride. Mrs. William Johnston sang "At Dawning" and "I Love You Truly." The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Johnston, of Hopkinton. She is a graduate of Lennox college. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Wimmer, of Creston, and is a graduate of the State University of Iowa and is assistant cashier in the First National Bank. After a short honeymoon they will return to this place to make their home.
