Becker - Brandt marriage - 1897

At 11 o'clock Thursday morning, June 17th, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandt, occurred the marriage of their second daughter, Louise, to Mr. John F. Becker, of Elkader, the ceremony performed by Rev. O. Gamme___. Wm. Becker, brother of the groom, acted as groomsman, while Miss Tillie, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. The groom is one of Elkader's successful businessmen, the senior of the firm of Messrs. Becker Bros., druggists. The young couple have prepared for themselves a home in one of the Rathman cottages in Elkader.
