Uhl - Allen marriage - 1922

Last Thursday evening at the Congregational parsonage occurred the marriage of Miss Thelma Louise Allen of Hawkeye and Mr. Loren Loomis Uhl of this place, Rev. Maxwell officiating. They were attended by Miss Mary Uhl, the grooms sister, and Mrs. Maxwell. The bride has been assisting in the Uhl millinery shop for some time. The groom is the youngest son of Mrs. Harriet Uhl. He was a member of the World's War and saw service overseas. He is an active member of the American Legion, and at present is attending Stoner McCrea College at Des Moines. The groom will leave in a few days to resume his studies, while the bride will remain in the Uhl millinery for a while at least.
