Riley - Bickel marriage - 1922

Last Thursday in Dubuque occurred the marriage of Miss Irene O. Bickel and James Vernon Riley, who sprung a surprise on their friends, who were expecting the event to take place here at home. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Bickel, a talented young lady, a graduate this year of the State College at Ames. The groom is a very promising young man, an Electrical engineer employed in the office of the Interstate Power Company. The best wishes of the community are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Riley.
