Heck - Berns marriage - 1933

Miss Cecil Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Berns of near Garnavillo, and Leander Heck, son of Mrs. Geo. Heck of Guttenberg, were married at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Garnavillo, Tuesday morning by the Rev. H. Scharphoff. The couple was unattended. The groom graduated from St. Mary's high school in Guttenberg and for two years he was employed as assistant cashier of the North Buena Vista Bank and was also employed at the Holy Cross Bank for two years as assistant cashier. The bride is well and favorably known in Guttenberg. They will reside on a farm in Volga township.
