Henning - Taake marriage - 1928

A very Pretty wedding occurred at the residence of Henry Taake, at Elkader, Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 4 o'clock, when Miss Iona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Taake, was united in marriage to Elmer Henning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Henning of Garnavillo. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Braun, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Garnavillo. The couple were unattended. Thursday afternoon the bride and groom departed by auto for several weeks auto trip through Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, and the western part of Iowa, after which the couple will locate on a the farm of the groom's parents near Garnavillo.
