On Wednesday, Dec. 7th, a quiet wedding was solemnized at the Methodist parsonage at Dubuque, Iowa, when Mark P. Pugh, of Seattle, Wash., and Maggie Wacker, of Mederville, Ia., were united in marriage. The Rev. Hugh Atcheson performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Wacker, of Mederville. The groom is the second oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Pugh, of Strawberry Point, and was reared in this vicinity and lived here until eighteen years of age, leaving to accept a position as locomotive fireman and afterwards was promoted to locomotive engineer, being employed on the Oregon & Washington railway, with headquarters at present at Seattle, Wash. The young couple will depart for their home in Seattle, Wash., about Dec. 20th.
