Schaefers - Johnson marriage - 1910

At St. Joseph's Church, Thursday morning, Nov. 10th, occurred the marriage of Gertrude E. Johnson to Theodore Schaefers, Father Roedler performing the ceremony. The couple were attended by Regina Schaefers, sister of the groom, and his nephew, Clarence Berns. The grooms mother, Mrs. Mary Schaefers provided a bounteous feast, after the ceremony.

At. St. Joseph's church in Garnavillo on Thursday morning, Nov. 10th, 1910, occurred the marriage of Theodore Schaefers, of Oakland, Cal., and Miss Gertrude E. Johnson, of Eleva, Wis. Miss Regina Schaefers acted as bridesmaid and Clarence Berns as best man. Rev. Father raedler performed the sacred rite. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Schaefers, and is well known, having grown to manhood here. The bride came to us but a short time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Schaefers will visit at different places in Wisconsin and Minnesota before returning home.
