VOLGA CITY
Our business men and citizens are making preparations to have a grand old fashioned Fourth of July on the Third of July. We had a meeting last Saturday evening to organize and elect officers of the day, &c., as follows: President of the Day- J. F. Campbell; Reader of the Declaration of Independence- Dr. J. W. McLean; Committee of Arrangements- John W. Lowe, John D. Welch, Samuel Hawthorn, Wm. A. Penfield and Fred Askew. Several other committees were appointed. Everybody is invited to come and celebrate.
