Tuesday morning, Dec. 8th, 1908, at the M.E. parsonage at Manchester, occurred the marriage of Alva Carpenter, of this place, and Miss LuElla White, of Manchester. Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter left on the 8 o'clock train for Sac City for a brief visit with friends. January 1st they will settle down to housekeeping on the Carpenter farm east of this city, with the best wishes of a host of friends.
