Barnes - Byrnes marriage - 1908

On Thanksgiving morning at St. Joseph's church, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating, Mr. Winnie Barnes and Miss May Byrnes, of Elkader, were united in the holy bonds of marriage. After the ceremony a reception and dinner was had at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. John Byrnes. The young couple will make their home on the John Byrnes farm in Cox Creek township, attended by the best wishes of a host of friends.
