Gifford - Niemeyer marriage - 1908

At the residence of Archbishop Keane in Dubuque Tuesday morning occurred the marriage of Kit C. Gifford and Miss Clara Niemeyer, of Elkader. Rev. Father He_ir officiated in the presence of relatives of the bride. After the service a wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mrs. Wm. Needham, sister of the bride. The young couple returned to Elkader that evening and are making their home for the present at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Anna Niemeyer. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Gifford, of this place. and is the popular deputy postmaster. We extend congratulations.
