A very pretty home wedding was solemnized at the Marvin Snyder home in town on Wednesday, June 1st, when Florence Edith Meyer, second daughter of Mrs. Marvin Snyder, was united in marriage to Charles Henry Voss of Chicago, Ill. Rev. W. W. Maxwell was the officiating minister. Edwin Fred Voss, brother of the groom, was the groom's attendant, and Miss Letha Edna Meyer was bridesmaid. Burdina Meyer, sister of the bride was ring bearer. The bride's brother, Herbert, sang "O Promise Me" and "At Dawning" during the Ceremony. Mrs. Voss was born at Strawberry Point and was educated at the local school graduating in 1920. Since then she has been employed at Grinnell and Chicago, and for the last few months has been at home. The bridegroom is a milk salesman in Chicago, and during the World War was enlisted as a cavalry soldier serving two years in home service. In addition to the guests already named there were present: the bride's brothers, Elbert, Clare and Erwin and one sister, Lydia; Chas. H. Voss, of Prairie View, Ill., father of the groom; Alex Meyer, uncle of the bride; Mrs. Minnie Ahrens, aunt of the bride, of Dundee, Iowa; Mrs. Floyd Snyder and family, of Strawberry Point.
