Schuster - Sheckleton marriage - 1927

St. Patrick's church, Dubuque, was the scene of a pretty wedding Tuesday morning, when vows were taken by Miss Veronica D. Sheckleton, the only daughter of Mrs. Catherine Sheckleton, of 457 W. Locust St., and Aloysius T. Schuster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Schuster of LaMotte. The Rev. Father Hanley, performed to ceremony. The couple were unattended. The bride is a graduate of Elkader High School and attended the State Teacher's Normal and Upper Iowa University and has taught a number of years in Clayton and Dubuque counties. The groom is a World War veteran, having served in the "Rock of the Marne" - 38th Inf. and is Commander of the Dubuque Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is employed as inspector at the Ott Rubber Company. The couple will be at their new home on 1320 Glen Oak Ave., after July 1st. Those who attended from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Sheckleton of St. Louis, Mo.
