Miss Alma Bruening, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bruening of Volga City, and Mr. Fred Thiese, formerly of Clayton township, but now of near Arlington, were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Emil Lehne, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church of this city, on Sunday afternoon at the home of the groom's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Thiese, in Clayton township. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. William Tuecke, of Clayton township. The bride is a graduate of Guttenberg high school and also attended the Iowa State Teacher's College at Cedar Falls. For several years she was a teacher in the Guttenberg public school, but for the past two years has taught the public schools at Billings, Montana. The groom is a progressive young farmer. Mr. and Mrs. Thiese will reside on a farm near Arlington, Ia.
