Shepherd - Stemmer marriage - 1919

Tuesday morning at the Catholic parsonage at Volga occurred the marriage of Miss Carrie Stemmer and William E. Shepherd, Rev. A. H. Hetherington officiating. They were attended by Miss Ruth Stemmer, sister of the bride, and Karl Konzen. The bride is the daughter of J. G. Stemmer of Highland township and has been a successful teacher for a number of years. They will reside in Volga where the bridegroom has been engaged in the drug store business with his brother John for some time. He has just recently returned from military service. Their many Elkader friends extend congratulations.
