At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund DeGraw, Wednesday evening, June 4th, 1913, occurred the marriage of Miss Cleo DeGraw, to Mr. Asa L. Briar, of Waukon, Rev. James B. Bird officiating. They were unattended, and the wedding march was played by Miss Florence Briar. Those present from out of town, besides the relatives from Waukon, were: Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Briar and two daughters, of Sawyer, N.D., and Miss Alice Carlton, of Dubuque. The bride and groom are widely known here, and a host of friends extend to them heartiest congratulations.

Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 12 June 1913. Monona column.
