The H. W. Wilke home, in this city, was the scene of a very pretty home wedding on Monday, March 31st, when Harry J. Conrad and Jessie M. Wilke became man and wife. The wedding march was played by Miss Phyllis Wilke, niece of the bride, and Rev. Franke performed the ceremony. Willie J. Witt was the grooms attendant and Miss Lulu Kleinpell was maid of honor. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wilke, and was born, educated and grew to womanhood in Elkader, while the groom has made his home here for years with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Witt, and is at present teacher of Manuel Training in our public school. After a wedding trip to Chicago, Indiana Harbor and other points, they will be at home to their many friends at the Webb residence. May happiness and prosperity reign supreme on their life's journey and in their home.
