Haeger - Berns marriage - 1913

At St. Joseph's church on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock occurred the marriage of Miss Veronica Berns to Edward Haeger, of New Vienna, in the presence of relatives and friends, Rev. L. Raedler officiating. Ben Haeger, a brother of the groom, acted as best man, and Miss Regina Schaefer as bridesmaid. After the ceremony a bounteous wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride.

The bride, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Berns, of this city, is well and favorably known and has many accomplishments, which will fit her to preside over and care for the home.

The young couple will go to housekeeping on the Hempeler farm, north of town, which the groom recently purchased. We extend our heartiest congratulations to the happy couple.
