Connell - Berns marriage (??) - 1907

Bert Connell and Lizzie Berns, of Garnavillo, were married Tuesday evening at Clayton and came to Elkader. Yesterday, Frank Berns, the father, came to Elkader and had an interview with Connell and his bride. The father objected to the marriage on account of the girl being too young. We learn that the matter was peacefully arranged and the young bride returned home with her father.
