The North Yakima (Wash.) Republic of the 23rd gives the following account of the marriage of Joseph L. Clift, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clift, formerly of Elkader. The groom is also a nephew of Mesdames Jos. Lamm, G.M. Gifford and Nettie Clift, of this place.
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Forman, 114 North Fourth street, was the scene of one of the prettiest home weddings of the season, Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, 1907, when their niece, Miss Sada Forman Goldsberry, was united in marriage to Joseph L. Clift. Dr. F. L. Hayden, of the First Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony in the presence of about 50 friends and relatives of the contracting parties. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Sada Forman, and Dr. J. F. Scott acted as best man. The ceremony was followed by a wedding supper, and then a refreshing fruit punch, served by Miss Ruby Clift and Miss Hazel Hayden. Miss Goldsberry is well known here, having been employed for some time as a cashier of the Yakima Hardware company. Mr. Clift is also well known as an employee of the Yakima Trust company. Mr. and Mrs. Clift will be at home to their friends at 203 South Naches Ave.
