Alderson - Meyer marriage - 1911

On Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Geo. Baumgartner, occurred the marriage of Miss Emma Meyer and Miles Alderson, Rev. Piper officiating. The wedding of this popular young couple came as a surprise to their many friends, who extend congratulations. The bride is a charming young lady and numbers her friends here by her acquaintances. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Meyer, of near Littleport. The groom is one of the staunch young men of Cox Creek, is a hard working young man, and has already rented a farm in that vicinity, onto which the young couple will move the first of March. They left the same evening for a short wedding trip to Dubuque.
