Schlake - Hamann marriage - 1911

The wedding of Albert C. Schlake to Miss Laura E. M. Hamann was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents Wednesday March 1st in the presence of about one hundred guests, Rev. Bosholm officiating.

The wedding march was played by Miss Alma Schlake, sister of the groom. Hermie Hamann acted as groomsman and Miss Ruth Schlake was bridesmaid.

After the ceremony and congratulations a bountiful supper was served.

The groom is a prosperous young farmer of this vicinity. The bride is the only daughter of Herman Hamann

After a honeymoon trip through the western part of the state, they will live on a farm near Garnavillo, where they will be at home to their many friends after March 28th. We join their friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity through their married life
