Jewell - Hoyer marriage - 1911

At the German Lutheran church, Tuesday, occurred the marriage of Miss Lizzie Hoyer and Walter Jewell, Rev. Graf tieing the nuptial knot. Both of the contracting parties are well and favorably known here. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Hoyer, while the groom is the son of John Jewell. They departed the same evening for Scales Mound, Ill., for a visit of a couple of weeks with Mr. Jewell's sister, after which they will return to Strawberry Point, the groom having rented the Geo. Wheeler farm south of the fair grounds, now occupied by E. J. Deyo.
